Data Administrator — Hessle

Are you a highly organised Administrator who thrives on detail, enjoys working with data, and takes real pride in doing a job properly?

Cranswick Farming are looking for a Farm System & Data Administrator to join our team in Hessle. This is a key support role within a fast-paced farming and agri-food business, where the accuracy of your work will make a genuine difference to day-to-day operations.

You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing structure, improving ways of working, and supporting multiple areas of the business; from production data and reporting to query resolution. A key part of the role is ensuring weekly operational data is accurately collated and reported in line with strict financial reporting deadlines. During month-end, these deadlines become business critical, so you’ll need to be someone who can prioritise effectively, work accurately under pressure and consistently deliver on time. If you’re hardworking, proactive, and love being the person who helps things run smoothly behind the scenes, this could be a brilliant fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative and system support across multiple business areas.
  • Collate, maintain and report on accurate operational and production data.
  • Produce and validate weekly reporting in line with financial reporting deadlines, ensuring data is complete, accurate and submitted on time.
  • Prioritise workload during month-end to ensure all reporting is completed within critical business deadlines.
  • Support production planning by assisting with administration needs.
  • Maintain, improve and develop Excel-based trackers, reports and templates.
  • Ensure data is entered correctly and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Support the ongoing development of Power BI dashboards and data visualisation (where required).
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to keep data aligned, accurate and on time.
  • Liaise with colleagues to resolve data queries promptly, preventing delays to reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors and streamline administrative tasks.
  • Play an active role in supporting a well-organised, efficient and high-performing office function.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is hard-working, reliable and takes ownership, with the confidence to stay calm, focused and accurate even when workloads are busy.

You’ll have:

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within a production or operations-driven environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas and lookups).
  • Experience handling data and reporting, with an appreciation of the importance of working to strict reporting deadlines.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, particularly during busy weekly reporting cycles and month-end.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels across the business.
  • Agricultural knowledge (particularly pig production) would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Why Join Cranswick Farming?

This is a role where you can genuinely make your mark, supporting vital systems and data that keep the business running efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to the accuracy of operational reporting and the timely delivery of business-critical financial information. You’ll join a team that values reliability, initiative and people who want to do a great job.

Pay and Benefits
