Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.6 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.
We are on the look out for a Control Room Operator & Stock Controller for our brand new Cold Store – you will be responsible for monitoring the conditions within the freezers and conveyors are maintained and any issues reported to Management, Engineers or Users. This role will also include stock control duties within the Cold Store.
Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
- To monitor the Operations within the Box Freezer, Palletiser, Cold Store and Conveyors through a video footage system and report issues to Management, Engineers and Users
- Investigating stock discrepancies and creating stock reports, whilst escalating any issues to Management
- Ensuring freezer temperatures and plant conditions remain within tolerance whilst communicating with the Engineering team
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, temperature anomalies and actions taken
- Co-ordinate & perform regular stock takes in a timely manner, meeting the needs of the business
- Ensuring all members of the team follow health and safety procedures
- Communicate efficiently with all internal and external colleagues
- Collaborate and resolve any issues causing downtime or inefficiencies
What We Look For:
- Experience in a similar role: Control Room Operative / Stock Controller / Experienced Warehouse Operative
- Good communication skills
- Observational, attention to detail & problem solving
- Strong computer literacy
- Understand the importance of product and location segregation
