Cater­ing Supervisor:

Shift Pattern: 8am-2pm

Working Hours: Monday – Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at Valley Park as we launch our brand-new on-site food truck. This is a fantastic chance to be part of something new, helping to create a welcoming and high-quality catering service.

What you’ll be doing

As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the food truck. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting daily opening and closing routines
  • Preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking breakfast and lunch items
  • Following standard recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency
  • Delivering a friendly, efficient service to customers
  • Processing payments accurately in line with company procedures
  • Carrying out and recording temperature checks
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
  • Adhering to HACCP principles and company procedures
  • Managing stock levels, rotation (FIFO), and waste
  • Placing orders with approved suppliers and checking deliveries
  • Collecting supplies when required and ensuring safe transport
  • Monitoring team schedules, attendance, and holiday cover
  • Supporting basic performance and wellbeing check-ins
  • Maintaining accurate records for compliance, stock, and staffing
  • Reporting any maintenance, equipment, or stock issues promptly

What we need from you

Essential

  • Previous experience in a catering or food service environment (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Food safety knowledge and understanding of hygiene standards
  • Confident handling payments and basic cash processes
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Desirable:

  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification
  • Experience supervising or leading a small team
  • Knowledge of stock control and ordering processes
