Summary

To lead the Brine operation function, ensuring the site is fully compliant with all relevant legislation, industry standards, Cranswick policies and customer specifications. Be a skilled Artisan, with a commitment to producing a high quality authentic product. To manage Process Development (Brines) and ensure EPD and NPD are delivered as required. Driving and maintaining strong customer focus.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Strong working relationships are expected across all internal and external contacts
  • Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP). Champion this within the department and the wider site.
  • Systems and policies are to be highly credible and presented in robust formats. They should cascade through the structure, providing awareness of current performance at all levels
  • To Maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulations
  • Adhere to the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times
  • Key performance-based responsibilities include:

Brine make up

Curing Chemistry

Curing Legislation and compliance

Optimise process and curing on existing lines

Traditional Brine, care and maintenance

Skills and experience

  • IT literate, able to work confidently with email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of measuring and influencing KPI performance
  • Able to give clear examples of working with projects involving cross-functional objectives
  • Familiarity with business processes outside of core role, such as, NPD, Process, Production, is desired as an aid to cross-functional working
