Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers.

Purpose of the role -to plan, supervise, coordinate and motivate team members for production processes, which include cooking, cooling, all aspects of product packing, map testing, metal detection in addition to certain hygiene regimes / protocols.

The key elements of the role are:

• Liaise with the Department Manager to identify the correct levels of resources and manage the operation within these agreed parameters
• Ensure product traceability is maintained at all times
• To ensure prestart checks conducted, including checking machine damage
• To guide and train new starters
• Ensure the companies hygiene policies are adhered too and maintained at all times
• Ensure correct storage of the product in the area
• To supervise line operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring that performance, product quality, GMP standards, discipline and safety standards are maintained
• To monitor and ensure correct recording and of downtime, packing area efficiencies, mispacks, overruns and all other packing area associated documentation
• Ensure all issues communicated to senior management in timely manner
• To ensure correct batch codes, use by dates and appropriate stock routines are followed and are appropriately recorded on the audit sheets
• Actively encourages, organises and applies continuous improvement techniques and processes
• Effectively communicates tasks and required standards to the team
• Actively involved in daily review meeting and feeds back on areas of opportunity
• Ensures the team are adequately trained and that personal and technical skills are developed
• Where required, having identified the causes and consequences, change and adjust the production plan in co-operation with the Department Manager, Planning Department to ensure that the most efficient daily production is achieved
• To be representative of the companies high standards at all times and to conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner

Shift is- 4on 4off (5am to 5pm)
