Our Cranswick Country Foods, Fresh Poultry site opened in Eye, rural Suffolk in November 2019 and is well placed in East Anglia, the heartland of British chicken production.

Our new facility resulted in instant benefits for our customers as we were able to increase production from 500k birds to 1.4m birds per week. Total investment for the new site was £78 million and it is the first new-build chicken processing factory in the UK to have been built in over 30 years.

Inside the factory, you’ll find the very latest technology – in fact, it is the most advanced site in Europe with the fastest processing line. Each year, we continue to invest in new equipment, expanding our capabilities.
