Woodall's Recognised As Best In British Charcuterie

Woodall’s, produced by Cranswick plc, has scooped up a Quality Food Award for its Cumberland sausages and three Great Taste Awards for its range of air dried hams and smoked pancetta. The awards, which took place on 10th November at Grosvenor House, were introduced by celebrity chef Simon Rimmer. The prestigious awards showcase the best products in UK groceries in which Woodall’s took the title for ‘Best Sausage’ with its Outdoor Bred British Cumberland Sausage.

The brand also celebrated winning three gold stars at the Great Taste Awards 2016, after beating off tough competition from hundreds of UK producers. Run by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste awards involve a judging panel of over 450 expert chefs, buyers, writers and retailers throughout the food industry. Woodall’s Air Dried Cumbrian Ham, Air Dried Royale Ham and Smoked Pancetta each won an award. The judges praised the products excelllent appearances, “melt in the mouth” textures and “salty sweetness” of flavours. The three winning products will include the Great Taste Award Gold Star accreditation on their packaging.

Woodall’s also attended the BBC Good Food Show from 24th – 27th November at the NEC in Birmingham where it delighted visitors with its extensive range of British charcuterie products among hundreds of other UK food suppliers.
