Supporting the Hull Community

Being based in Hull where the business employs over 4,000 people means we are deeply passionate about supporting our community.

When Hull Sunday Soup Kitchen became aware that they were the only kitchen open, they also opened on a Thursday evening. Using weekly meat hampers from Cranswick Country Foods Hull their team have been making hot and cold meals for residents, including pulled pork and rice, pork steak with jacket potatoes and sliced chicken breast sandwiches. They have been incredible, and we are delighted to be able to help such a vital lifeline. Find out how their crucial work has altered through lockdown.

Hull Women's Aid is the only refuge-based support in Hull, providing safe accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Cranswick Country Foods Hull has been donating 20 hampers of meat a week to distribute to the families needing support.

We've supplied over 300 meat hampers to vulnerable and elderly people through the Preston Parish Council. We've received numerous letters, cards and phone calls from the Preston village residents expressing their thanks and gratitude.

Local care homes have been gifted a ‘breakfast on Cranswick' with sausages and bacon as a thank you for their hard work and to keep spirits up during these past few weeks.

The volunteers are working so hard day in, day out and are so very much appreciated. We're very proud of our colleagues who are going over and above their usual day jobs - thank you, you are making a difference.
