SuperMeat & Fish Christmas Awards 2015

On 30th July 2015 the First annual SuperMeat & Fish Christmas Awards took place celebrating the best own label Christmas products to launch for Christmas 2015.  These awards recognise and reward excellence, innovation and quality of products.  The expert judges prepared and tested products within each category and awarded ‘Winner’ and ‘Highly Recommended’ to those products that truly stood out.

We are delighted to announce that Morrisons were Joint Winner with Tesco in the Best Christmas Pork/Gammon product category for the Cranswick produced Signature Morello Cherry Gammon Joint.   On winning this award Matthew Leach, Senior NPD Technologist for Cranswick Gourmet Bacon said:
“We were really pleased when we heard we had won the award and it’s great to see a Gammon Joint winning in this category.  The aim was to develop a succulent tasting joint with a fruity and festive flavour.  By working with the chefs at Morrisons we decided to use Morello Cherries so the product stood out in the Signature Christmas range and delivered a great tasting offering that’s perfect for sharing with friends or family or using as leftovers for the traditional Christmas buffet.”
The Cranswick’s produced Morrisons Signature Mini Pork & Sticky Plum Stuffing puddings were also Highly Recommended in the Best Christmas Stuffing Category.

Here at Cranswick we are passionate about delivering the highest quality products and have worked in conjunction with other suppliers.  This Christmas we will be providing the stuffing to Bernard Matthews for the Tesco British Turkey Crown with Pork, Apple & Chestnut Stuffing & Honey Glaze which won the Best Christmas Added Value Poultry Product and the stuffing to Valley Park who won Best Ready-cooked Christmas Ham with the Morrison’s Signature Festive Stuffing & Bacon Topped Ham Joint.
