Innovative Surplus Food Cooking Workshop

Do you love food, hate waste? We’ve been tackling mindsets on food waste and supporting our Cranswick Waste Warriors to 'Love Food Hate Waste'.

Our chef Paul Robinson at our Cranswick Gourmet Pastry site hosted a surplus cooking workshop where we showed the Waste Warriors how they can embrace food often seen as ‘waste’ and create delicious, nutritious meals with these items.

Our Waste Warriors created our ‘Zero Waste Apple Pie’ using surplus ingredients from the factory that would have gone to waste to create a delicious new dish that they can cook at home!

In the last 12 months, our Cranswick Gourmet Pastry site has reduced edible food waste by 42% and we are supporting some big global commitments to make this happen: Champions 12.3, Courtauld 2025 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
