When veterans return from service, they often find they do not have the support network and resources to meet their most basic needs. When their resources are depleted, these veterans can become homeless and without hope. The charity Hull 4 Heroes aim to ensure that their transition back into civilian life and regular employment is as seamless as possible.
The team at Cranswick Country Foods Riverside are keen supporters, and recently partnered with the charity by assisting with their Christmas food hampers appeal, raising £888.30 in the process. This appeal is fundraising for The Veterans Village build. A community providing transitional housing, training and support for ex-service personnel and their families, it will be a place to help when adjusting to civilian life. Find out more here.
