Lucy - Compliance and Production Advisor
"I started working for White Rose Farms in 2021 as their Compliance Co-Ordinator. Having just completed my A-Levels, I was unsure if I wanted to go to university and was eager to join the world of work.
I really enjoyed my first 18 months with the business learning more about the farms division and taking on more responsibility as the business grew. Having settled into work, I decided that the time was right and I wanted to develop my academic learning further, so I asked if there would be an opportunity for me to do this whilst continuing to work. Cranswick were really supportive and gave me the opportunity to undertake a Supply Chain Leadership degree alongside my current role within the business, which I started in October 2023.
I have now almost completed my first year of the course and I’m really enjoying expanding my knowledge on the end-to-end supply chain and learning about the wider Cranswick business. Through undertaking the degree apprenticeship it has allowed me to learn academically and then apply my learnings to my work. Through expanding my knowledge over the last twelve months, it has helped shape my role and enabled me to progress within the business. I am now the Compliance and Production Advisor for White Rose and Wold Farms. From my own experience and learnings I would definitely encourage others that are thinking about it to join the Cranswick degree apprenticeship scheme."
