About the role

To assist the Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day operations in the warehouse in order to fulfil business/department needs and targets; maintaining equipment & product safety and quality standards.

Key Duties

  • Under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor, ensure that all orders are handled correctly and required information accurately captured. All anomalies reported immediately.
  • Picking orders and/or FLT reach driver- To ensure that any picking/ warehouse targets that are set by the Warehouse Supervisor are met: or if this is not possible, shortfalls are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner
  • To maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
  • To wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the Warehouse area.
  • Carry out training commensurate with the area including regular refresher / update training as and when required.
  • To carry out routine equipment checks & report any defects immediately to the Duty Warehouse Manager.
  • To behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
  • To assist during internal / external audits as required
  • Adhere to all Company Rules and Policies
  • To maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc.
  • To ensure the appropriate paperwork or electronic records are filled in correctly
