SHIFT TRIM­MERS LOW RISK

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Under the guidance of Area Leader and Line Leaders, ensure that each product specification is followed and any anomalies are reported immediately
  • To ensure that any production targets set by your Area Leader and Line Leader are met; especially yield & quality standards and throughput rates
  • To maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site
  • To wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the production area
  • Carry out training commensurate with the area including regular refresher/update training as and when required
  • To report any equipment defects immediately to the Area Leader or Line Leader (eg damaged chainmail)
  • To behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times
  • To assist during internal / external audits as required
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • To maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc
  • Adhere to lean principles and actively contribute and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • To contribute in reducing all aspects of ”waste”
  • Always act in accordance with the training you have been provided
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as instructed by your Manager as required and understand that these duties may be in another department
  • Mentor new employees within the department
  • Liaise with colleagues in other departments to ensure the throughput of all products in a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service
  • Highlight areas of improvement
  • Understand relevant legislation, internal company policies and procedures, codes of practice, technical specifications, COSHH regulations and developments in H.A.C.C.P systems relevant to the department
  • Uphold good housekeeping and hygiene practices to ensure product safety, with particular attention to temperature control and general hygiene
  • Respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct when interacting with colleagues
  • Attend required training in line with current legislation, Health and Safety guidelines and changing departmental operations
  • Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Site Environmental Permit, company HSE policies, site safety rules, and procedures at all times
