Summary
As Technical Services Supervisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the governance side of the Technical Services team, ensuring that tasks are completed at the required frequency or in response to customer communication.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Management of the ‘out of specification’ nutritional results.
- Management of meat assurance scheme licenses and approvals.
- Coordination of the site export process.
- Maintain and manage technical site risk assessments to ensure they are dynamic and accurate.
- Coordinate the closure of non-conformances delegated to the Technical Services team.
- Review escalated complaint responses to ensure robust investigations and responses are created and shared with customers.
- Manage complaints and non-conformances to ensure they do not go overdue.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the laboratory contacts, attending to routine calls and feedback issues and ensuring robust resolutions.
Desired Applicant requirements, experience, and person specification (Training will be provided as required):
- Previous experience working in a Technical Services role.
- Excellent administrative skills with great attention to detail.
- Qualification in food-related subjects would be advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of food legislation, safety, quality and customer requirements.
- Excellent IT skills, including excellent MS Excel skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of BRC standards.
- Previous experience of leading an engaged and high performing team.
