Team Leader — High Risk (M‑F AM)

Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen is supplying high quality cooked product to a number of market leading customers. Currently we are looking to grow our team and recruit a Production Team Leader to be responsible for Low Risk area and oversee area within production.

The ideal candidate would be an ambitious, dedicated and dynamic Production Team Leader who is looking to join a new team and would be able to motivate, engage and lead a team of operatives. As a Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that product safety, quality and legality is achieved whilst maintaining high standards and inspiring their team to strive for excellence.

Shift: M-F; 06:30-14:30

Pay Rate: £14.77 per hour

Key Role & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate recording of yield, labour, efficiencies, waste and other key metrics are maintained and communicated to your team
  • Understand the operation of all machinery used in a given area and ensure optimum setup to maximise efficiency and achieve target yields
  • Delivery of the daily production plan on time and in full
  • Assist the team with identifying areas of opportunity or support needed and liaise with management where appropriate
  • Remain confident, cool and approachable with all colleagues and customers
  • Attend regular management meetings, delivering KPI information and completing actions and escalating any issues which arise
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to problem solve and establish agreed solutions
  • Ensure compliance with key company and customer requirements and assist in audits
  • Work in partnership with the senior management team to be part of the site culture which drives food safety, H&S, ethical, environmental and energy behaviours

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Prior experience leading a team within the food industry (i.e. Team Leader, Line Leader or equivalent) is preferable
  • Ability to use IT systems, and be comfortable with running and understanding a paperless factory
  • Ability to lead, communicate and motivate a team
  • Be able to show initiative and good problem solving skills
