Compliance Manager

We are looking for a driven, ambitious individual to join our technical team at ‘Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen’. Acting as part of a hands-on Technical Team, the main purpose of the role is to monitor quality system compliance and effectiveness through the maintenance and upkeep of the site’s systems, driving continuous improvement to ensure that full compliance with legislative, key company & customer requirements is always met.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring quality system compliance through regular checks and audits
- Reporting any system failures to the relevant department in a timely manner, so that corrective action can be taken promptly
- Implement and drive continuous improvement of the site systems, working alongside other departments, external manufacturers and 3rd party personnel, ensuring that the site is always compliant with all 3rd party audits, customer requirements and accreditations.
- Provide support to the Technical Team and assisting in the day to day running of site compliance, ensuring that standards are maintained in line with external audit requirements.
- To assist in the completion of site-based audits at a set frequency against 3rd Party Standards, GMP, Fabrication, Hygiene, H&S, Ethical and documentation upkeep.
- To ensure that all site requirements for traceability studies are completed within the appropriate timescale and as detailed within the approved schedules
The successful candidate will have:
- Food Safety level 3, HACCP level 3 (essential)
- Internal auditor qualification (desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely (optional)
- Experience within Quality Assurance / Control, preferably within the food industry (highly advantageous)
- Experience in working within a high-risk food production environment (highly advantageous)
- Working knowledge of GMP in a food manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of major retailer standards, including M&S
