Cranswick Plc are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Supply & Purchasing Administrator to join our operations team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of purchasing and stock control processes, supporting the wider supply chain function and helping to maintain efficient, cost-effective procurement and inventory management.
We’re looking for someone with strong admin skills and ideally some experience in stock control or purchasing. If you’re methodical, proactive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with real variety, this could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately and in line with company procedures
- Maintain supplier records and ensure all procurement documentation is kept up to date
- Support inventory management through accurate stock data entry and reconciliation
- Monitor and track deliveries, flagging issues or delays
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely fulfilment of orders
- Assist with pricing updates, cost comparisons, and reporting
- Help coordinate returns, replacements, and general procurement admin
- Provide administrative support to the wider operations or supply team as needed
About You:
- Proven experience in an administrative role (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Experience or understanding of purchasing, procurement, or stock control is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams
- Comfortable using Excel, purchase order systems, and inventory software
- Reliable, methodical, and able to work independently
- A proactive mindset and willingness to improve processes
