Sup­ply Chain Planner

Location: Hessle, East Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

About the Role

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer committed to quality, sustainability, and innovation. We are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join our Farming Division. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support the formalisation of the production flow planning process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Predict weekly/monthly performance metrics based on sow breeding plans
  • Forecast downstream space needs
  • Design the planning mechanism using flow diagrams, Gantt charts, capacity dashboards and scenario simulation
  • Enable proactive changes in flow to optimise space and farm utilisation
  • Foster stronger, more predictable farm relationships
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Document current average durations at each stage and expected movements
  • Adjust predictions with real-time feedback

About You

  • Highly skilled with numbers and strong forecasting capabilities
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with different teams
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A background in agriculture and an understanding of pig production is beneficial
