STORES PERSON (Maternity Cover)
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and organised Stores Person to join our team at Cranswick Gourmet Bacon.In this role, you will be responsible for managing deliveries, stock control, and supplies, ensuring that all operations run smoothly while maintaining the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries, including temperature and quality checks
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems
- Store goods safely and correctly, ensuring easy accessibility
- Prepare and dispatch goods to departments as required
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and returns
- Keep accurate records of shortages and discrepancies
- Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely
- Comply with all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar stores or warehouse role (preferably within food manufacturing)
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting and moving goods)
- Reliable team player who can also work independently
- Basic understanding of Food Safety standards
