Job requirements of shift Manager:
We are looking for a shift Manager to join our established Production team at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for leading and motivating your team comprised of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operatives to ensure production KPIs are met.

Shift Pattern – 4 shifts per week on a 3 week rotating shift pattern, working 06:10 – 17:10.

Duties

Be responsible for all activities within the respective area.

Always Operate to the highest attainable safety standards.

Ensure all products meet or exceed the agreed customer specification and quality standards.

Ensure Units technical and hygiene standards match best in industry.

Optimise production efficiencies, namely output, quality, yield, labour, reducing absenteeism, labour turnover and holiday planning utilisation, packaging usage and utilities.

Ensure good communication and employee engagement in order to help maintain good industrial relations and improve the overall effectiveness of the business.

Develop, train, coach and motivate the Team leaders and Operatives, in conjunction with the HR Department.

Animal Welfare to uphold the Company Policy

Report to the Operations Manager immediately any occurrence that could affect the finances or security of the Company or put its name into disrepute

What you will need:

Experience within a similar role and/or FMCG environment.

  • Strong IT skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s management experience

Level 2 Food safety and hygiene

IOSH managing safely training

  • Food Manufacturing NVQ level 2/3
  • Level 3 H&S awareness.
  • Reviewing of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Sound decision maker
  • Confidence and assertiveness
  • Report writing and presentation skills
