At Cranswick Milton Keynes, we’re proud to employ over 950 colleagues who help us deliver delicious, high-quality products every single day — and we’re now looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Operative to join our team.
What you’ll be doing
As part of our Quality team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards across the site. You’ll ensure all raw meats entering production meet specification, are traceable, and comply with legislation — protecting both our customers and our reputation for excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:

Checking and verifying all raw meat entering the site to ensure full compliance with specification and traceability.

Managing raw material quality issues and liaising with suppliers and internal teams.

Ensuring compliance with Food Safety Act, Meat Hygiene Regulations, and HACCP procedures.

Conducting GMP audits, vehicle hygiene checks, and temperature monitoring.

Supporting continuous improvement by identifying issues and taking proactive steps to resolve them.

Maintaining accurate records and calibration of equipment.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly and has a keen eye for detail.
You’ll ideally have:

GCSEs or equivalent qualifications (A-Level or above desirable)

Food Safety and HACCP Level 2 certification

A solid understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and quality systems

Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Reliability, accuracy, and a proactive mindset
-
Experience in a food manufacturing or QA environment (preferred but not essential)
