About the role

The QA Technician has a responsibility to ensure quality, safety and the legality of the product are achieved to the highest standard. This is achieved through various on line checks. Non-conforming product should be brought to the attention of the QA Supervisor so that a suitable course of corrective action can be implemented.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out routine metal and gas checks as per procedure on (Min hourly) and completing the relevant process control documentation
  • Daily calibration checks of on-line checkweighers to ensure they are operating correctly.
  • Quality attribute assessments on finished product to the defined attributes and a specified frequency
  • Label checks (Start Up & Product Changeover Line Check Record)
  • To monitor, record and collate mean weights
  • Monitor hygiene practice throughout the facility
  • Place product on hold when necessary
  • Raise non-conformances for out of specification product & issuing corrective action & following up
  • Gathering taste panel samples – to the set sampling schedule for start and end of life sampling.
  • Monitor & police the control of allergens from intake to despatch and to carry out allergen line swabs as requested
  • To ensure factory rules are being adhered to by all CFF & agency colleagues at all times

About You

  • Ability to commute/relocate to the site in Bury BL9 8RQ (required)
  • An understanding of product knowledge or experience working within High risk and High Care environments.
  • An understanding of QA/QC Systems
  • Good communicator
  • Essential understanding of IT systems
