QA Supervisor ‑4 on, 4 off, 5.15am – 5.45pm

Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a QA Supervisor to join the Technical team. Duties will include managing a shift QA team to ensure that quality objectives are achieved and enusring site quality management systems are implemented, reviewed and where possible improved.customer operating standards.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Manage the day-to-day activities of their QA shift team.
- Support the Factory Technical Manager and wider Technical Management team in design and delivery of paperless QA systems.
- Metal detection, X-Ray, Checkweigher and SparcEye (Vision) system SME to ensure these key systems are always operating effectively.
- Attend Site meetings to represent and highlight the activities covering the QA team in inter departmental forums.
- Ensure that all recruitment for their QA team shift is carried out in line with HR rules and procedures.
- Ensure continued training and development of their QA team shift.
- Ensure their QA team shift PDP appraisals are carried out in line with company requirements.
- To support the Factory Technical Manager or wider Technical Management Team in updates and improvements to the QA process and related procedures
- Instrumental in application and understanding of HACCP principles in the factory floor.
Requirements, experience and person specification – These are advantageous to have, but not essential as training will be provided.
- Previous FMCG manufacturing experience
- Previous experience of leading multiple teams
- Evidenced team leadership
- All core training and mandatory procedures
- All relevant site/area policies, procedures & processes (including customer specific requirements)
- Minimum Level 3 Food Safety
- Minimum Level 3 HACCP
- Equality and Diversity Training
