Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.
We are currently recruiting a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join the Finance team at our Preston site, the largest and busiest in the area. This position will see the successful candidate assist the Accounts Payable team with the processing of documentation, including and relating to purchase invoices, and provide assistance with general office duties as required.
Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Process all delivery notes/job sheets received relating to purchase invoices
- Routine checking of the GRN screen to ensure delivery notes are correctly assigned and released accordingly
- Requesting any missing documentation in good time to prevent delays in invoice processing
- Ad hoc office duties including but not limited to scanning, shredding, filing etc
- Ensuring sensitive documentation is dealt with accordingly and confidentiality is maintained
- Acting as a holiday/ absence cover for the Accounts Payable team if required
What We Look For:
- Experience in a similar role - Purchase Ledger Assistant/Clerk
- Experience within a busy office environment
- Strong level of IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
