Project Facil­i­ties Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our poultry facilities. Working with a small team.

Taking over the day to day running of our maintenance, refurbishment programmes of our poultry farms and everything they entail. We have a small maintenance team and manage sub-contractors.

Farms are predominantly in East Anglia and surrounding counties.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, project management experience, and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Duties

  • Overseeing refurbishment programmes. Overseeing the subcontractors, organising materials, H&S, budgets etc
  • Targeting turnaround maintenance.
  • Surveying farms to ensure we are keeping on top of repairs and getting value for money
  • Plan capital expenditures for coming years
  • Quoting jobs up
  • Project Planning & Budgeting
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Develop budgets and timelines
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations
  • Design & Engineering Coordination
  • Work with architects and engineers
  • Ensure designs meet environmental and operational needs
  • Oversee site selection and land preparation
  • Construction Management
  • Hire and supervise contractors
  • Monitor construction progress and quality
  • Resolve project delays or issues
  • The candidate would ideally have agricultural and poultry expertise but not essential
  • Can do and hands on attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Commercially astute
  • Building experience

Experience

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role is essential.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in supervising teams effectively.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to maintain various systems within the facility.
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication across all levels of the organisation.
