JOB PURPOSE:
As a Inventory Controller within the business you are expected to work towards delivery of your assigned KPI’s while encouraging an inclusive and collaborative attitude towards interdepartmental relationships. Additionally, you will be constantly working to demonstrate tangible and sustained KPI improvement under the five manufacturing pillars.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
Generic Duties
Responsible for the intake off products from approved suppliers in terms quality, cost, delivery, technical compliance, H&S for delivery against defined goals, eg: Product Intake, Storage, Traceability, Delivery to internal customer’s & Budgetary targets.
Make sure that the systems paperwork / Nav and Cemex all give full product traceability from arrival to use at end product.
All materials that are taken from the Low Risk/High Risk/Slow Cook / Intake and other areas off the site are traceable and are processed correctly on the system required. To be responsible in future for Low Risk
Report and act on MFE breakdowns, delivery stoppers, obstacles to customer service in a timely and responsible manner, taking ownership of problem through to resolution. To complete all racking checks weekly and ensure any Red defects are taken out of use and reported. Also arrange repairs to ensure that we have all racking in working order.
Ensure all OOD products or end off run are put into stock hold location and are processed to enable full traceability to disposal.
At Risk products are reported weekly and monthly and work with Materials controller to reduce write off wherever possible.
Complete all PI , Weekly stock takes and monthly stock takes ensure that all anomalies are investigated to route cause.
Ensure all products are picked in FIFO order reporting any anomalies to the Warehouse manager and completing a Route cause analysis to understand why this has happened.
Manage the stocks off all Dolavs, pallets and PPS trays making sure that no financial loss due to lost equipment.
Provide product expertise within the team contributing to, or at times designing SOPs for each process.
Make sure that all damaged stock is recorded and written off and claims are made for all supplier damaged stock.
esponsibility to deliver Quality and Compliance at all times:
Ensure process and Standard Operations are adhered to rigidly at all times
Ensure incidents and non-conformance are challenged and investigated, involving team members with agreement of counter measures and solutions.
Ensure Low Risk/ High Risk/ Stock/ Dry Goods / Label room / freezers / trailers and any other storage facility has stock showing correctly on Nav and Cemex.
Ensure that materials are available for the factory plan and are delivered in time to prevent unnecessary downtime re non-availability. Identify and escalate potential issues in advance.
Working with the materials controller make sure that materials are in place the day before at least to manufacture, highlighting anything prior to production that is short.
Ensure that intake checks are completed accurately and on time
JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing operations (preferably food related) (Essential)
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Knowledge of NAV and Cemex ideal
- Ability to interact with customers and work towards leading audits.
Ability to assess, review and deliver root cause analysis
- Understanding off stock process and investigation into stock movements
- Logistics knowledge including hauliers and documentation.
