NationĀal Account Manager
Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager in the Sales and Marketing Department. Will work on the management & growth of a major UK Customer in the field of Sliced Cooked Meats and Slow Cook business This will be delivered through the creation and focused delivery of the joint customer business plan in liaison with the customer, NPD & Category Marketing team whilst engaging across multi-site teams.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- To provide day to day management of the retail account business, and maximise profitable sales growth in the categories of responsibility; Sliced Cooked Meats & Slow Cook.
- Weekly tracking, measurement, and evaluation of performance to ensure the plan is delivered.
- Accountable for the P&L across specific categories
- Ensure the forecast is accurate.
- Ensure any model price changes are delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure costing submissions are accurate and exceed site expectations.
- Regularly review ongoing product margins and instigate product PIP plans as required.
- Ensure the convenience categories maximise promotional opportunities profitably.
- Co-ordinate & deliver the monthly performance review and JBP meetings
- Understand & work closely with the customers supply chain manager on a regular basis
- Deliver supply chain excellence to the customer through close partnerships with the supply chain team, and through effective volume management.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Results focused and self motivated
- Well-developed commercial acumen and numeracy
- Minimum 1 - 2yrs experience of National Account Management
- Experience of Joint Business Planning
- Good understanding of customer / strategy and ability to match needs of both
- Strong understanding of category performance metrics and able to analyse category data
- Good project management skills
