Shift Pattern: Rotating continental shift (caravan) days & nights (Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun on. Week 2: Wed, Thu on)

Working Hours: 05.30am-17.30pm and 17:30pm-05.30am rotating

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our High Risk Engineering Department.

What you’ll be doing

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a fundamental role in our High Risk department. You will:

  • Effectively carry out engineering works on planned preventive maintenance duties on services, machines and all associated equipment and apparatus and installation as directed.
  • Effectively carry out remedial engineering defects on services, machines and all associated equipment and apparatus and installation as directed, which may affect their safe and efficient operation, resulting in production downtime.
  • Complete necessary engineering reports, with accurate interpretation of work completed through the shift report system, identifying any follow up tasks to be undertaken.
  • Ensure that all works undertaken are carried out correctly, thereby ensuring that services, equipment, machinery, apparatus and other installations are in a safe operable condition at all times.

What we need from you

Essential

You’ll need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Engineering. The ideal candidate will have electrical bias qualifications. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be strong communicator. We’re looking for someone with a proactive approach to maintaining site machinery, equipment and systems. You’ll need to work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritise workloads.

Desirable

You will ideally have experience of working with the FMCG manufacturing industry. Whilst every FMCG site operates differently, having experience in the industry would be beneficial.

Experience of PPM applications and pneumatic and hydraulic experience would be advantageous.

We’re open to hearing from candidates with a mechanical/electrical background too.
