Cranswick Riverside is currently recruiting a Junior Shift Manager (Nights) to support the Shift Manager to oversee the running of the Production Department, responsible for the Line Leaders and Operatives. The Junior Shift Manager will ensure that production yields are attained at all times, and customer requirements are achieved in line with product specifications.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for supervising all aspects of retail production from delivering a best quality product to ensuring production KPI’s are always met
  • rive producDtion to ensure planned outputs are achieved precisely, economically and to the predetermined quality standards
  • Ensure that lost production time is kept to a minimum and to minimise the waste of raw materials, packaging and consumables
  • Investigate any failure to achieve the agreed targets and to implement any corrective action required
  • Correctly identify all ‘Work in Progress’, ‘Residuals’ and packs from ‘End of Production Runs’ and process in accordance with Technical specifications and Safety regulations
  • Ensure an exceptional level of internal/external customer service through on time deliveries and minimal customer returns
  • Manage the shift in the absence of the appointed Shift Manager
  • Proactively and continuously improve the team and department
  • Assume responsibility for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality
  • Ensure adherence to all standards and processes relating to CCP monitoring, glass, complaints, label verifications and other paperwork in your area

You Will Have:

  • Experience in a similar role - Warehouse/Factory Supervisor, Team Leader, Experienced Chargehand
  • Experience leading a team (essential)
  • Examples of working towards KPIs and delivering positive results
  • Previous experience in a fast-moving consumer goods environment
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Effective communication skills
