An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a IT Support Technician to join our busy IT team at our Cranswick Fresh Poultry site at Eye.

The successful candidate will become a front-line service representative that supports all variants of IT, such as factory systems, office environments and IT infrastructure. The candidate will become an integral part of our forward-thinking IT team.

Shift pattern:

Monday to Friday on a 3 week rotating basis Week1: 06.00-15.00 Week2: 08:00-17:00, Week3: 09.00-18.00 – The role is based onsite

Duties:

  • To provide technical support for all IT user based hardware and software
  • Working to agreed SLAs for incident requests and problems, prioritizing and managing workload effectively to deal with several open tickets
  • Taking ownership of technical requests and conducting full and thorough diagnostics with end users to enable ticket resolution
  • Regular maintenance and patching of infrastructure, end points as well as Servers
  • Prioritising and managing workload effectively.
  • Ensuring that all systems are updated and patched to maintain security
  • Provide an on-call service with other members of the team on a rota basis
  • Provide support to other nearby sites when required

What you will need:

  • Have strong IT skills and background of Microsoft OS and Office, any knowledge of Microsoft NAV, Microsoft Hyper-V would be preferred but not essential
  • Ideally 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate a customer first approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Driving licence required for the occasional commute to other sites

Pay and Benefits:

  • £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
