We’re now looking for a reliable and detail-focused Intake Operative to join our Intake team — someone with Counterbalance FLT experience who can help us maintain the high standards we’re known for.

Your Role

As an Intake Operative, you’ll be the first point of contact for raw materials arriving on site. You’ll work hands-on using FLT equipment and digital systems to ensure stock is received, checked, and booked in accurately and safely.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely unloading pallets of raw meat from incoming supplier deliveries using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck

  • Scanning and booking deliveries into our systems using handheld scanners or PCs

  • Checking product weight, quantity, and paperwork, ensuring accuracy, and highlighting any discrepancies

  • Collaborating with Procurement, Quality, and Technical teams to resolve issues

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and stock control procedures

  • Keeping the intake area clean, organised, and audit-ready

What You’ll Bring

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (desirable)

  • Previous experience in goods-in / intake, warehousing, or food manufacturing (desirable)

  • Good attention to detail and confidence using basic computer systems

  • Understanding of food safety and health & safety standards

  • A reliable, team-oriented approach and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work in a chilled environment (4–8°C) – protective clothing provided
