Hygiene Operative
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Lead Operative Hygiene, as part of a shift hygiene team, this role is responsible for undertaking both wet and dry-cleaning activities in line with company hygiene procedures, and schedules.
- Key deliverables expected are:
- You leave work in the same condition you arrive.
- You work with the Senior Hygiene Operative, other Hygiene Operative(s), or complete individual tasks, to ensure the manufacturing facility and specific external areas are clean, tidy, orderly, and crucially, that the product in manufacture is produced and packed on assets which meet the required standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Work well with your peers, and have a close working relationship with Shift Managers, Engineers, and shift based QAs, in support of the above.
Main Duties:
- The cleaning of operational assets, building fabric & environment, and specific external areas, in line with their risk-assessed frequencies.
- Complete accurate records of activities completed, in line with company documentation.
- With suitable training, complete high-level cleaning, via platforms and/or MEWPS.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.
Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:
- Ability to work in a range of environments (wet, dry, hot, dusty)
- Willing to get hands dirty and get stuck in.
- Can do attitude. Seeks a solution.

- Open to change and willing to learn.
- Scissor Lift / Cherry Picker [MEWPS] training (or willingness to undertake)
- Food Safety L2 .
- Awareness of BRC .
- COSHH.
- FLT License.
- IOSH Working Safely.
£12.25 per hour - Mon-Fri 8am to 4pm until fully trained and then you will move to 4 on 4 off 12hr shifts – 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am
