Job requirements of Hygiene Manager:
We are looking for a Hygiene Manager to join our established Production team at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for leading and motivating your team comprised of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operatives to ensure production KPIs are met.
Shift Pattern: Sunday-Thursday: Monday-Thursday 21:30-06:30 and Sundays 17:30-02:30
Duties:
- Responsible to ensure that the training needs of your department are understood, and your direct staff have the relevant training required to carry the tasks they are undertaking safely.
- Ensure effective communication to all direct reports on awareness of KPI’s; accidents, hazard & near misses
- Responsible for accident investigations
- Responsible to ensure compliance to company policies, procedures, site rules and information and instruction given by your employer.
- Responsible for the Hygiene standards of the factory and ensuring the factory is cleaned to the required standards Safely and within the hygiene window with the correct labour and chemical usage.
- Optimise labour utilization by reducing labour turn over and holiday planning
- To always be aware of the operating efficiencies of hygiene equipment and any defects.
- Optimise staffing levels needed to run efficiently
- Maintain and uphold all aspects of Company HR policies, standards of discipline, communication and industrial relations
- Develop, train, coach and motivate the Unit Team and Operatives, in conjunction with the HR department and carry out annual performance reviews
- Is sufficiently flexible in terms of hours of work to support and cover his or her Supervisors and Team Leaders on their shift and other shifts to meet the demands of the business.
What you will need:
- Minimum of 3 years hygiene management experience
Been involved within the food industry
- Strong IT skills.
- Group and site induction
Desirable:
Level 3 Food safety and hygiene
Level 3 Health and Safety. Either IOSH Managing Safely or Cranswick equivalent
- Leve 3 HACCAP
- Hazards and near miss reporting training.
- Accident investigation training.
- All relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures are reviewed and to current methods.
