Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

We are currently recruiting an HR Advisor to join the team at our Preston site, the largest and busiest in the area. This is a permanent position and will see the successful candidate become an integral part of our business's people function, providing front-line HR advice to managers on employment related matters and implementing best practices to add value to the delivery of the People Agenda.

This position would ideally suit an HR professional with previous/current experience as an HR Assistant or HR Advisor.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Provide generalist support to departmental managers on HR matters such as discipline, grievance, absence management and flexible working
  • Coach and support line managers on contractual and policy matters
  • Support the development and delivery of the Site Engagement Strategy
  • Lead on key site HR initiatives such as wellbeing, ethical compliance, etc
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to support and drive the HR agenda
  • Develop and maintain HR systems to support the delivery of the site HR agenda and remove non added value activities
  • Support during internal and external ethical audits
  • Report, track and analyse the weekly and monthly KPIs including absence, turnover, retention and headcount

What We Look For:

  • CIPD L3 qualified (essential minimum requirement)
  • Proven track record of working in a busy HR function
  • Experience working in an FMCG environment (desirable)
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
