High Risk Team Leader (Mater­ni­ty Cover)

We are proud to be one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, supplying high-quality products to major retailers across the country. At our Milton Keynes site, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Team Leader to join our operations team on a maternity cover basis.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in food production who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is ready to inspire a team to deliver excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Team Leader, you’ll oversee a small group of Operatives within one of our key departments – High Risk and ensure daily production targets are met safely and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering the daily production plan and addressing any issues promptly

  • Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance

  • Supporting and developing team members through training and performance feedback

  • Leading by example to foster a positive, productive working environment

  • Completing all shift paperwork and system updates accurately

  • Covering for the Supervisor in their absence

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a food manufacturing environment (as a Team Leader or skilled Operative)

  • Understands core food safety and health & safety principles

  • Can lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with their team

  • Is organised, proactive, and capable of working under pressure

  • Shows flexibility and a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills
