What you’ll do
-
Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns across site, identify root causes, and suggest improvements.

Deliver preventative maintenance in line with schedules, ensuring quality standards and food safety requirements are met.

Carry out electrical/mechanical work including installations, repairs, and modifications.

Optimise and adjust process equipment to meet production and quality needs.

Record all work in CMMS (Pirana) and ensure hygiene hand-back is completed.

Share best practice, mentor colleagues, and contribute to toolbox talks.

Work closely with Operations to minimise downtime and disruption.

Maintain high standards in workshops, toolboxes, and engineering areas.

Supervise contractors when required and support site projects.
What we’re looking for

Engineering qualification: BTEC & NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent).

Strong experience in electrical fault finding and mechanical fitting.

Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

18th Edition qualified (or working towards).

Competence in automation and controls is a strong advantage.

Ability to problem solve, explain technical processes, and mentor others.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
