Shift Pattern: Caravan shift pattern (5 on 2 off – 5 off 2 on)

Working Hours: 42 hours per week, alternating between 5.30am – 5.30pm & 5.30pm – 5.30am

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Team Leader to join our High-Risk Engineering Department.

What you’ll be doing

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a fundamental role in our High-Risk department. You will:

Carry out planned maintenance on services, machinery, and all associated equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Respond to engineering defects promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

Record and report work accurately, including identifying follow-up tasks and ensuring completion.

Lead and manage the engineering team and contractors, supervising mechanical and electrical engineers and external service providers across shifts to achieve operational goals safely and efficiently.

Maintain and improve site equipment and services, ensuring machinery, utilities, and plant are optimized to meet production needs.

Oversee compliance, safety, and reporting, maintaining procedures, risk assessments, PPM schedules, and records to support continuous improvement.

Support projects and operational excellence, assisting in the planning and delivery of maintenance, capital projects, emergency preparedness, and staff development to meet KPIs and budget targets.

What we need from you

Essential

You’ll need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Engineering. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be strong communicator. We’re looking for someone with a proactive approach to maintaining site machinery, equipment and systems. You’ll need to work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritise workloads.

Desirable

You will ideally have experience of working with the FMCG manufacturing industry. Whilst every FMCG site operates differently, having experience in the industry would be beneficial.

Experience of PPM applications and pneumatic and hydraulic experience would be advantageous.

We’re open to hearing from candidates with a mechanical/electrical background too.
