Are you a detail-driven individual with a passion for operational excellence and supply chain coordination? Cranswick Convenience Foods – Milton Keynes is looking for an Engineering Purchaser to join our Engineering department and play a vital role in keeping our factory running smoothly.

As the Engineering Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and tracking engineering spare parts, ensuring maintenance and servicing operations never miss a beat. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a knack for building supplier relationships, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase engineering equipment and spare parts to meet specifications, deadlines, and budget requirements, aligned with Cranswick Group policies.

• Collaborate on cost-saving initiatives and support profit improvement and sustainability plans.

• Build strong supplier relationships to ensure excellent service and product availability.

• Handle all financial and stores administration related to engineering purchases.

• Raise and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.

• Manage offsite and consignment stock with external suppliers.

• Monitor and control spare parts costs; highlight any price increases or stock changes.

• Work with the Engineering Stores Manager to improve stock control processes and flow.

• Maintain clear and timely communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Support occasional duties outside the typical schedule as required.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to quickly learn new systems with a sharp eye for detail.

• Experience in a food manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.
