ElecĀ­triĀ­cal Engineer

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team at the Wembley site.

The successful candidate will be multi skilled but Electrical bias and also qualified with knowledge of mechanical duties and able to maintain plant and variety of Production equipment. The day-to-day role will consist of carrying out PPM, prioritizing, responding and sorting out Electrical/ Mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Maintaining all production plant to run at optimum performance.
  • Respond effectively to all breakdown situations with good skills on fault diagnosis across a range of high volume production machinery and associated plant to minimize downtime.
  • To carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance of the equipment and to ensure that is fully documented at all times.
  • Keep the Engineering Manager briefed on all issues and progress.
  • Raise health and safety hazard associated with the plant and equipment.

Requirements, experience and person specification

  • Electrical Engineering Qualifications, minimum 18th Edition certified.
  • Electrical and Mechanical hands on experience.
  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Electrical work on 3phase, invertors, rectifiers, motors, relays, sensors, drives
  • Mechanical work on gearboxes, belts, bearings, chains, pneumatics
  • Previous experience of production equipment and packing machines. Food, FMCG or high speed production environment experience is the plus point.
  • Professional attitude, self motivated, flexible, a good team player and also able to work on his own.
