Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.

Our Preston site is growing! We are on the look out for Despatch Operatives to become an integral part of our team! You would be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day to day operations within Despatch department, taking direction from the Chargehands.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Loading and unloading of vehicles
  • Picking orders on our in house systems
  • Ensuring all Despatch requirements set by the Chargehands and Supervisors are met in a timely mannor
  • Ensuring products are stored correctly while maintaining traceability at all times
  • Maintaining food safety standards at all times
  • Reporting any issues or shortfalls when required
  • Demonstrate a good attention to detail with orders

You will have:

  • A motivated and friendly attitude towards teamwork and assisting colleagues
  • A good standard of both spoken and written English (essential)
  • Previous experience in despatch, warehousing or the food industry (desirable)
