Despatch Coordinator

4on 4off shift pattern, working 06:00am-18:00pm

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.

Due to increased demands, our Preston site are on the look out for a new Despatch Coordinator to become an integral part of our Despatch Team!

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Production of accurate and appropriate Despatch Notes
  • Tray checks in the factory
  • Some duties in the factory at Managers request
  • Maintain the loading of orders on to NAV ensuring that all information is kept up to date
  • Issue loading sheets to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner
  • Check all loading/transport information prior to use to ensure that all details are correct
  • Update and maintain the booking purchases and returns spreadsheet
  • Develop communication with sales and production personnel across the site ensuring clear channels of communication and sharing of appropriate information
  • Cross checking weight sheets to ensure all details are correct
  • Answer incoming calls and deal with any queries in the absence of the Despatch Manager
  • Any other duties as required by the Despatch Admin Chargehand
  • Update supermarket pick sheets to ensure correct pallet are provided to outside haulers
  • Amend supermarket orders when account managers request this
  • Manually raise sales orders in NAV from emails and sales sheets
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out
  • Order and de-hire supermarket trays and pallets
  • Conduct tray counts, check tray balances and deliveries.
  • Complete service level daily

You will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
  • Experience within an FMCG Food manufacturing is advantageous
  • Excellent administrative skills
