Job requirements of Contractor permit and controller:
We are looking for an experienced Contractor permit and controller to support with the health and safety within Engineering, maintaining compliance.
Hours: Sunday- Thursday, 7am-4pm (Flexibility required for holiday cover).
Duties
- You will need to be the liaison between the engineering department and all contractors that come onto site. You will be required to check all RAMS before any contractor comes onto site and get all permits ready for the contractor visit.
- Manage the planned work to be conducted by external contracting firms
- Ensure that RAMS are specific to the work to be carried out with accurate detail on dates and methods.
- Ensure that quality, health and safety and environmental standards are fully complied with by contractors.
- Make sure all permits are created, filled in correctly and then signed off correctly by all relevant parties.
- Make sure that all completed permits are filed correctly.
What you will need:
- Level 3 Food Safety
- IOSH (preferably)
- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
- Proven track record of project work and working with contractors.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office) ideally with knowledge of QRIMS, Pirana, Excel, Office Projects, PowerBI (list not exclusive)
- Level 2 H&S awareness.
- Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
- Able to produce and edit reports in word, excel and power point
- Full UK driving license.
Pay and benefits:
- Rate of pay – £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience
