Collation Team Leader
Collation Team Leader | Days | 4 on, 4 off | B Shift
We are currently recruiting for a Collation Team Leader, working days, on B Shift, 4 on, 4 off
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the activities of the team to ensure that the collation process is managed safely and to ensure team goals align with business strategy
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Liaise with the Area Manager to ensure suitable labour is in place and ready to work at start of shift
- Work safely ensuring you and your colleagues are following the Standard Operating Procedures
- Liaise with the and QA’s to ensure all paperwork and operational checks are completed to the required standard
- Train and support Collation Operatives to work at the right pace while achieving correct quality standards
- Set collation targets for operatives and make sure these are monitored closely
- Liaise with other Area Managers regarding any potential production and material issues
- Provide feedback on the performance of agency operatives to Agency Management / Area Manager
- Ensure accurate recording of waste and other key metrics and maintain a culture of awareness
- Be capable to proactively react in any issues and being able to make a decision if there is no area manager or deputy area manager
- To work in partnership with the Senior Management team on site to be part of the Culture of the site
- Report any equipment defects immediately to the Area Supervisor / Team Leader
- Ensure all staff within your area of responsibility are fully trained on the Machinery/Operation they are working on (delivering training where appropriate)
- All staff within your area of responsibility have the relevant Legal compliance training completed (in liaison with the Health & Safety, Technical and the training departments
Candidate requirements:
- Reliable, motivated with a can-do attitude
- Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Experience of working as a team leader, an advantage
- Previous experience within collation & distribution essential
- Good numeric & literacy skills
