Col­la­tion Area Leader Morn­ing Shift

Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen is looking to grow our team and recruit an Area Leader to assist in the day to day running of the Evening shift Production.

As an ideal candidate, you would be reliable, show initiative and have accuracy with excellent attention to detail. You will be responsible for completing verification checks and operating and understanding all machinery, ensuring that high-quality products are continuously produced.

You need to be hands-on, motivated and driven. Your remit is to support your peers on the journey to drive performance and improve production to achieve and surpass targets.

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 06:00-15:00

Pay Rate: £16.97 per hour

Main Accountabilities:

  • Deliver the daily production plan on time and in full, ensuring high-quality standards are implemented & maintained
  • Effective management of all resources in the Area to achieve operational KPIs
  • Understand the operation of all machinery used in a given area and ensure optimum setup to maximise efficiency and achieve target performance
  • Work as part of a team to identify areas of opportunity or support needed and liaise with management where appropriate to drive continuous improvement
  • Remain level-headed, logical and approachable with all colleagues and customers
  • Demonstrate flexibility by achieving a wide variety of production tasks across the area of responsibility
  • Recognise the importance of verification checks and complete in a timely manner
  • Liaise closely with other departments to problem solve and establish agreed solutions
  • Ensure compliance with key company and customer requirements and assist in audits
  • Work in partnership with the wider team to be part of the site culture which drives food safety, H&S, ethical, environmental and energy behaviours
  • Assist in the mentoring and development of the team
  • Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the team

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience in the Food Industry, in a Leading Team capacity
  • Results-focused and able to work to KPIs
  • Flexible to meet business needs at times when required
  • Ability to use IT systems, and be comfortable with running and understanding a paperless factory
