Raw Material Manager
Cranswick Poultry Added Value is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. The main purpose of the role is to manage and plan the raw material process at both Added Value Poultry sites. This includes management of raw material planning (Fresh & Frozen), material forecasting, closely working with our procurement team and monitoring and managing frozen stocks, this is all to be performed in a strategic and collaborative manner.
The key elements of the role are:
- Send quarterly forecasts to the procurement teams to allow them to best purchase fresh material.
- Weekly raw material planning for both added value poultry sites.
- Produce and arrange defrost plans for both sites to maximise PPV and service.
- Monitor coldstore stocks to ensure material is used in rotation and available when required to meet customers demand.
- Reporting daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s
- Manage existing suppliers ensuring mutual beneficial working relationships, reviewing service levels, supporting and negotiating terms and prices
- Manage the site slicer and plan this to best utilise the labour, material and requirements to benefit the business both financially and with our customers service.
- Compiles stock control records and information, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
- Liaise with Managers / Supervisors regarding any issues and report on a daily basis.
