"Cranswick’s Graduate Programme is a great way to gain experience in all areas of the business. When I started, I went through a 6-week induction, including experience on the farms, butchery training and visits to all of Cranswick’s sites.
I spent the majority of my first year in different rotations; from Logistics and Process Improvement through to Technical, Commercial and Production. Where I also benefited from regular updates and continuous support from senior management, who ensured I gained practical experience and exposure to as of much of the business as possible.
First-year highlights include managing the HelloFresh account as an Account Executive. And working on an improvement project at a new continental site in Bury, where I was able to practically apply what I’d studied at university – confirming my ambition to work in operations.
Now in my second year, I’m based at Lazenby’s (Cranswick’s gourmet sausage site). When I first moved to the site, I did short rotations in each department, gaining continuous support and updates from senior management along the way. Today, I’m working in production, where I’m pursuing my ambition of a career in operations."
