Yard Operative (Food Production site)
4 on 4 off Days, 6.00am – 6.00pm
38.5hrs average contract per week, permanent contract

The We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to be based at our Preston site, our primary pork facility in the Hull area. This is a varied role which can cover duties such as segregating cardboard and plastics for recycle baling, litter picking, and moving crates.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Pulling / picking manufacturing pallets, packaging and crates as required
- Report any quality or stock discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
- Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
- Maintain and collate records of equipment, recycling and packaging movements as required
- Feeding plastic crates and dolavs through wash machine in and out feeds
- General checking of tray quality before sending into factory
- Helping control and remove build-up of condensation in tray wash room as required
- Segregating cardboard and plastics for baling in recycle baling machine
- Unloading trays and waste from trailers
- Loading factory waste into compactor
- Tray and pallet shrouding, stacking and sorting prior to washing
- Additional ad-hoc yard hygiene and tidying duties, as and when required
What We Look For:
- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (advantageous)
- Experience in a similar role - Yard Operative/Waste Operative/General Operative
- Comfortable working at a fast-pace and to daily targets
- Suitable transport to get to site - HU12 8TB
