Rearing and Finishing Farm Fields Person (Preston, Hull)

Location: Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & Midlands

Hours: Full-time (daily start times will be dependent on planned pig movements and weekend work may be required)

Wold Farms Ltd are a growing business who specialise in the production of RSPCA assured pigs and are dedicated to

ensuring the high standards of animal welfare and production are met. Due to expansion within our fast-paced

farming enterprise, an opportunity has arisen for a Fieldsperson to join our pig rearing and finishing team. This

position will be working within the existing team ensuring smooth running of pig movements across the farming

business.

Main duties include (but are not limited to):

• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our contract growers

• Assisting with stock movements and advising on pig selection for slaughter ensuring they meet the target

weight and quality

• Ensuring the day-to-day health of livestock in line with RSPCA assurance standards and Company policy,

advising when required

• Communication with the production team on a regular basis to ensure smooth running of all operations

Requirements, experience and person specification:

• A keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is essential for this role

• Experience with handling livestock is equally essential for this role

• A self-starter with a positive attitude and great attention to detail is required

• The ability to work remotely with minimal supervision

• Full UK Driving licence as travel between our farm locations is required
