We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic individual to join our GTS team as a Senior Group Supply Chain Assurance Technologist, making a real impact in our meat supply chain while gaining solid experience in supplier management, food safety, and quality assurance. This is an 18‑month opportunity but a great chance to gain experience within a large, growing business that employs thousands of people and offers plenty of future career prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Audits & Visits – Conduct supplier audits and site visits to monitor compliance with legal, customer, and internal standards. Travel is essential to this role with overnight stays UK and worldwide.
  • Meat Specifications – Write and review meat specifications for raw materials.
  • Supplier Approval & Management – Ensure suppliers are approved according to procedures, and maintain strong working relationships, providing guidance and tracking improvements.
  • Data Management – Maintain records and databases such as Quor, SharePoint, and Access with all supplier approval packs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Organise and lead meetings with Cranswick sites to discuss supplier and raw material status.

Candidate Profile

We’re seeking someone organised, detail-oriented, and keen to learn. Experience in food safety, quality, or supplier management is useful but not essential. Key skills include:

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications; cloud systems experience advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Driving licence is essential.
