Sales Controller

Barnsley / Hull

Within the Foodservice & Ingredients team, the role holder will provide the effective, profitable and progressive commercial management of key foodservice accounts across the Cranswick group of businesses.  To assist in the development and implementation of the 5-year strategic plan for Cranswick in the OOH market and to drive customer acquisition & sales in target sectors (Pub Co., Casual Dining, QSR, Coffee, Wholesale)

Main duties include (please note that this list is not exhaustive):

  • Develop and manage the existing sales ledger, driving profitable sales growth in this area of responsibility
  • Sustain and embed strong inter-site relationships between the company and key customer accounts
  • Work cross functionally across the group the drive “Group Approach” to channel development
  • Understand and develop the needs of the customer through regular face to face contact
  • Maintain a full knowledge and enthusiasm for the range of products produced by the business, developed by regular contact with the shop-floor and key factory personnel
  • Provide the first point of call for customer contact, managing any issues as and when they arise
  • Manage the dynamics of the customer relationship, including project management, and understanding supply chain initiatives.
